I'm the co-founder and CEO of Poggio. We're building frontier AI for revenue, and rethinking the future of enterprise applications.
I've spent my career thinking mostly about enterprise software from many angles, both as a builder and an investor. I am particularly interested in infrastructure and platform shifts. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time cycling.
Work history
- Poggio: co-founder & CEO. Frontier AI for revenue.
- Google Cloud: helped start the low/no-code business ("Business Application Platform") after joining as a PM for API management and integration. Was fortunate to be at GCP when TK joined in 2019 and had a front row seat to GCP's reinvention.
- Norwest Venture Partners: early stage infrastructure venture investor. Spent a lot of time in open source, security, and data.
- Shea & Company: software investment banker focused on infrastructure.
What I'm thinking about lately
I enjoy thinking about the future of software, enterprise apps, and AI broadly. More recently, much of this has been focused on the diffusion of AI, particularly in the enterprise. Top of mind lately has been how AI apps can be packaged and deployed to shared AI runtimes. Think a mix of helm charts, java app servers, and salesforce managed packages.
Investing
Outside of my day job, I enjoy investing in and advising startups and funds. There are no hard and fast rules here... I like to work with good, smart people solving interesting problems. Bonus points if it's in AI, enterprise apps, or enterprise software generally, where I tend to have more unique insights. I find particular interest in helping people think through ambiguity, whatever form that might take.
Some of the companies I've backed: PostHog, Unleash, Mastra, Browserbase, Quanta, and Keycard. As an LP I've invested in: Topology, Cadenza, and Preface.
Writing
